Corrosion Resistance:
HASTELLOY G-30 is a nickel based alloy with a high chromium content which has superior corrosion resistance to commercial phosphoric acid and many highly oxidising acid media in mixed environments such as nitric/hydrochloric, nitric/hydrofluoric and sulphuric acids compared to most other nickel and iron based alloys. The ability of G-30 alloy to prevent the formation of grain boundary deposits in the weld heat affected zone makes its weldable form suitable for a wide range of chemical processing applications. HASTELLOY G-30 alloy has excellent resistance to hydrofluoric/nitric acid mixtures used in applications such as stainless steel pickling. Compared to other nickel- or iron-based alloys, HASTELLOY G-30 alloy shows better resistance in commercial phosphoric acid. Its use as an acid evaporator in the fertiliser industry is increasing day by day.
Application:
Phosphoric acid equipment, sulphuric acid equipment, nitric acid equipment, nuclear fuel reprocessing, nuclear waste treatment, pickling operations, petrochemicals, fertiliser production, pesticide production, gold extraction
Matching Welding Consumables:
ERNiCrMo-11 welding wire ENiCrMo-11 electrode
Supply Style:
Plate, strip, bar, wire, forging, light bar, weld, flange, etc., can be processed according to the drawing
